The Mission
The Trip

In Detroit, Michigan, we work with a church plant from the Antioch Movement of churches that is reaching the inner city of Detroit. We'll serve alongside their team as they lay the groundwork for reaching broken people in the city by throwing TWO block parties in one weekend, telling people about Jesus door to door, and spending time encoraging the team from the church.

Antioch Detroit seeks to live out Humility, Honesty, Hospitality, Honor, and Hope in their effort to reach the inner city of Detroit. Detroit has one of the highest poverty levels, the higest levels of evictions, and the highest infant mortality rate of any metro city in the country.

Antioch has been bringing the hope of Jesus into those places since 2022, and has shown incredible perseverance by continuing to press into people despite very few of them joing the mission of the church. They have shown incredible determination and persistence in the face of hardship!

Leaving Thursday evening or Friday morning (TBD). Arrive back to Indy on Monday afternoon.

Dear Applicant,

I’m really excited about you wanting to serve with us in Detroit this year! On this page you will find a Requirement Checklist, Important Dates, and an Application for the trip. Please read through all of the information carefully before you begin filling out the application to make sure your forms are correct and complete. It is important to remember that a trip of this magnitude is a privilege, and there is a level of expectation both before and during this trip to commit to being prepared for the ministry we will do, so please make sure everything is filled out correctly and honestly, and make sure it is turned in by the due date.

I also know that this trip costs a lot of money, and that can be really stressful! The good news is, if God is calling you to go on this trip with us, I am confident that He will take care of the practicals – including finances. On our training day, we will help you make a plan for raising support for the trip through sharing the vision with family and friends and asking them to partner with you in it.

ALL of the following items need to be completed and turned in by Sunday, April 19, 2026 to be considered for acceptance on the team:

  • $100 Deposit
    (
If approved to go on the trip, the deposit will be applied to your trip cost, if not approved, the deposit will be returned to you.)
    Deposits can be paid by check, or by going to livingfaithindy.com/give, and then select Detroit Mission Trip as the designation.
